Ghagra Skirt










Measurements:

Skirt Length
Waist
Waist Band width = 2”

 Method 1:







Place the paper draft on the cloth  and cut.

















Construction:

(0-1)      =     Skirt Length – Waist Band width + 1”
(0-2)      =      1/6 waist
(1-3)      =       (0-2)  * 2
Note:   Add seam allowance 1/2" to the both sides of each pc. 


Method 2:



Fold the material i.e.,2 layers as lengthwise. Mark it directly on the cloth and cut.

(0-1)= skirt length-waist band width 2"

(0-2)= 1/2 of (2-3)

(2-3)= 1/6 waist

(1-4)= (2-3) *  2

(3-6)=(5-8)=  (1-4)




(6-7)  =  (4-5) =  (2-3)
 Note:  Add 1/2" seam allowance to the both side of each piece for stitching.
















Waist Band:

(0-1)      =        waist band width 2”
(2-3)      =        (0-1)
(0-2) & (1-3)    =   ½  Waist + 1”

If  you want to attach sleeves, we should attach sleeves to the bodice (as per sleeve diagram).
Otherwise, we can cut 7-5-5'-7' line and attach the strip to the bodice (diagram no.4)
For back side open attach zip and attach bow for more attraction.
